Part 1 Prototype Design – Digital Resume/CV
Duration: 2 weeks
Objective: In this first part of the assignment, you
will focus on creating a UI design prototype for your
digital resume or curriculum vitae (CV) using
prototyping software such as Adobe XD or Figma. The UI
design prototype will showcase the layout, visual
elements, and user interface interactions of your
digital resume.
3. PROJECT 1: PROTOTYPE DESIGN
Introduction
The aim of Project 1 was to design a
prototype that addresses a specific user
need. The objective was to create a
functional and user-friendly prototype
while incorporating feedback and
iterative improvements.
Work Progress
Visual References
In the planning phase, I started by
identifying the key objectives of the
project. I also conducted extensive
research on Pinterest.

Sketch/ Wireframe
The design phase began with
brainstorming sessions and
sketching out initial concepts.
One of the significant challenges
was balancing functionality with
user-friendliness. To overcome
this, I created several wireframes
and sought feedback from peers and
mentors. This iterative process
helped refine the design before
moving to the prototyping
stage.
Content and Structure
After several iterations, I developed a
high-fidelity prototype using advanced
tools like Figma. Each iteration was
crucial in addressing minor usability
issues and enhancing the overall
design.

4. REFLECTION
This project was a valuable
learning experience. I
gained insights into the
importance of user-centred
design and the iterative
nature of prototyping. The
feedback loop was especially
enlightening, teaching me to
view criticism as an
opportunity for improvement.
I will apply these lessons
to future projects, ensuring
that the end-user remains at
the forefront of the design
process.
