4. PROJECT 2: TIKTOK / INSTA VIDEO

Planning & Preproduction
For this task, I worked with my cell phone and tripod. After choosing the audio, I started planning the storyboard. The following is my proposal.

Doc. 4.1 Proposal.

Summary:
Title: Be A Dreamer
Concept: New Hair, New Tee, New Jeans, New Me. Just Be Yourself.

I envision creating a video that captures my journey of self-expression and personal growth. Titled "Be A Dreamer," the concept revolves around embracing change and celebrating individuality. With "new hair, new tee, new jeans, new me" as the central theme, I aim to show how these transformations reflect my evolving personality. The video will showcase my dream of becoming pretty through learning makeup techniques, my passion for dancing with personalized choreography, and my love for K-pop style fashion. Additionally, I'll incorporate elements of Kuromi into my life, highlighting the things that bring me joy. This project is all about being true to myself and inspiring others to do the same.

5. REFLECTION

Project 2A: Production Shooting Exercise

Experience
The exercise began with thorough planning, including storyboarding, scriptwriting, and organizing the crew and equipment. This phase highlighted the importance of pre-production in ensuring a smooth shooting process. During the shoot, coordination among team members, adherence to the storyboard, and adaptability to unforeseen challenges were crucial.  Editing the footage to create a coherent narrative involved selecting the best takes, cutting unnecessary scenes, and adding effects and sound. This phase underscored the importance of editing in shaping the final product.

Observation
I observed that understanding camera angles, lighting setups, and sound recording can significantly enhance the quality of the production. A successful production relies heavily on effective communication and collaboration among team members.

Findings
I found that the small details, like lighting adjustments and precise camera movements, have a significant impact on the final product’s quality. I also found that regular feedback during the production and post-production phases can lead to continuous improvements and a more polished final product.

Project 2B: TikTok/Instagram Video Exercise

Experience
The filming process was more spontaneous and less equipment-intensive compared to the production shooting exercise. It often involved using smartphones and minimal setups. Editing was focused on creating visually appealing and fast-paced content, often with music, text overlays, and special effects. Posting the content involved understanding platform algorithms and optimal posting times.

Observation
Creativity plays a significant role in capturing viewers’ attention within the first few seconds. Innovative ideas and trends can make the content stand out. Besides that, I observed that interactive elements such as challenges, hashtags, and calls to action can enhance viewer engagement and encourage sharing.

Findings
The fast-paced nature of social media requires quick production and adaptation to trends. The ability to produce and edit content rapidly is an asset. Direct interaction with the audience through comments and live sessions can foster a sense of community and increase loyalty.
